Admission Procedures
Vientiane Pattana School Interntional welcomes inquiries from interested families at any time of the year. Our office is open daily from 8:00 to 4:30 p.m. (except on holidays).
Our academic year is comprised of two semesters. The first semester commences mid-August until the early part of January of the following year. Second semester starts during the second half of January until mid-June.
Prospective students are required to take placement tests in English Language and Maths. A parent and/or student interview will also be conducted.
We also request that interested families bring the following records upon enrolment:
- 3 Photos (3 cm x 4 cm)
- Report card from previous school
- School record from previous school
- Photocopy of ID (passport)
- Photocopy of birth certificate
School Uniform
PRE-PRIMARY
No uniform needed.
PE T-shirt with the green emblem
PE Shorts are black with green emblem
PRIMARY (Grade 1 to Grade 6)
Boys
Green shorts or trousers and white shirt with green school emblem on left pocket.
Girls
Green skirt and white shirt with green school emblem on left pocket.
PE T-shirt with the green emblem
PE Shorts are black with green emblem
For cooler weather, a standardised zippered green jumper to wear as part of the uniform is now available. All students will either wear the jumper or only the school uniform. No other sweater, cardigan, hoodie, jacket, etc. will be allowed starting January 2019.
SECONDARY (Grade 7 & up)
Boys
Khaki shorts or trousers and white shirt with brown school emblem on left pocket.
Girls
Khaki skirt and white shirt with brown school emblem on left pocket.
PE uniform for girls and boys
Dark green T-shirt with white emblem. Black shorts with white and green emblem. The older version of the black shorts with red emblem is not sold anymore.
The skirt both green (Primary) and khaki (Secondary) must not be short and must cover the student’s knees.
For cooler weather, a standardised zippered green jumper to wear as part of the uniform is now available. All students will either wear the jumper or only the school uniform. No other sweater, cardigan, hoodie, jacket, etc. is allowed.
All students must wear sandals with back straps or closed toe shoes for school. It is compulsory that students wear sneakers or canvas shoes with proper threads for PE.
